Throwing Knife Review:
The throwing knifef set from Böker includes three strong and well-constructed throwing knives with an overall length of 10.25 inches. Each thrower is made from 420 stainless steel and features a row of circular cutouts in the handle for great balance.
Design and Aesthetic:
The spearhead shape of this knife is very provocative. The handle looks small in pictures but they’re fairly thick to provide a good counterbalance to the late blade of the knives. The one thing to note is that the photos do make the knives look very large but they’re not too big at about 10.5 inches long.
Build Quality and Durability:
Under some pretty rigorous throwing, these held up better than expected. That being said there are a few things we are a little concerned about. The holes in the handles and the skinny area where the blade meets the handle are a little worrisome and under some intense throwing they may run the risk of breaking, but with proper throwing technique and knife handling those shouldn’t be an issue. The other thing is that while the edges aren’t razor sharp, they still pose a danger iff you’re throwing from the blade rather than the handle.
Performance:
The overall performance is good solid throwing knife. When throwing from the blade it’s great at about 7ft distance and from the handle for a full rotation it’s great around the 10-12 foot distance.
Overall rating:
3/5 stars
Overall I found these knives to be pretty decent. They have a decent weight and length to them and overall are a pretty thick and sturdy throwing knife. I would recommend these knives to any novice throwers out there who are looking to continue throwing knives for quite some time. However it is a bit more of an investment at about 80$ as of writing this review.
